Conventions in this manual

A few visual conventions to know:

  • Bold text marks UNA's user-interface terms - controls, modes, parameters. When you see Listen, Modulate Mode, or PARAMETER Knob 3, those are real things on the unit.
  • Italic text emphasises a state or an idea ("Listen on" vs. "Listen off").
  • Monospace text marks file names, URLs, or things you'd type into a connected app.
  • Track colours appear in diagrams and callouts - the same colours UNA uses on screen. See the Colour Language section in Chapter 4 for the full reference.

Each chapter in this manual can be read in order, or on its own as a reference. Cross-references look like (Chapter 12) or (Appendix F) - jump around freely.
